For over 25 years, Indra’s Net has been dedicated to preservation breeding of The Maine Coon Cat - America’s original breed, the gentle giant of the cat world, and the official mascot of the State of Maine.

We are a small, quality-focused cattery specializing in traditional Maine Coon Cats that meet the original American Maine Coon breed standard. Our cats are known for their robust health, exceptional temperament, and those quirky behaviors that make the Maine Coon Cat so beloved: the chirps, the trills, and yes, even the exasperating habit of knocking things off the counters just to watch them fall.

Our Approach

Health First:

Every breeding cat undergoes comprehensive testing: HCM, SMA, PKD blood screening, followed by bi-yearly cardiac scans and hip testing. No exceptions.

Preservation Bloodlines:

We maintain strict standards against ‘Euro-Coon’ outcrosses that compromise health and breed integrity. Our pedigrees are carefully researched.

In Home Socialization:

Our kittens are raised under-foot in our home, handled daily, and exposed to the sounds and activities of everyday life. They go to their new families confident, well-adjusted, and ready to be part of your household for many years to come.

Lifetime Commitment:

Every cats from Indra’s Net, whether is was born here or not, comes with a lifetime take-back guarantee. We remain the primary contact on all microchips and maintain family relationships with our cat-fam for the life of the cat.

We typically have 1 - 2 litters per year only. We do NOT have “Guardian Homes” nor do I have people ‘foster’ litters for me. This is a Hobby and dedication of love for me. Right now we have:
